29th November 2013 Kite surfing: woolacombe Wind Direction: wnw Wind Stength: 25knts Surf / Sea State: big Air Temperature: 9 Sea Temperature: ? Weather: sun/cloud Max Speed: Distance Covered: friday in woolacombe and a first for me...No surfers out just two other kitesurfers further down the beach..after a delayed getting to the beach.....set of at 8.30 but van bonnet blew up on motorway and smashed the windscreen...back home jump in car...i didnt get to beach till 2.30, but when i did it was perfect although a little chilly. rigged the 10m naish Park and had a brilliant 2 hours..till nearly dark blast about. Biog Big waves out the back, you know the ones where when you crest over them its like falling of the side of a house.. big floaty jumps and later when the wind came more onshore some superb carvy runs in about 2 ft of water nearly down to putstborough. superb day with really smooth wind..sat spent day in T'shirt it was that warm.. top weekend....now off to buy a bonnet and windscreen |
